OSCE Interest Group

In 2005 Anne Pegram, Carol Fordham-Clarke, Jan Durbridge and Maggie Nicol got together to talk about OSCEs. We quickly realised that there were lots of issues that might be of interest to others so we invited colleagues in nursing & midwifery throughout the UK to join us.  The OSCE Interest Group was founded at the inaugral meeting in February 2006.

The aim of the OSCE Interest Group is to influence the Nursing & Midwifery agenda regarding OSCE assessment of Clinical Skills and act as a national resource.  To achieve this we will:

  • Provide a forum to discuss the use of OSCEs within Nursing & Midwifery which meets twice a year,

  • Discuss good practice in relation to designing, implementing and evaluating OSCEs,

  • Develop a website for the dissemination of information
